📢 THE FED KEPT RATES STEADY AFTER SEPTEMBER'S RATE INCREASE 📢

In today's meeting, the Federal Reserve kept the federal funds rate steady between 3.75% and 4.0%. Here are some key takeaways:

💸 Officials upgraded their assessment of the economy from "solid" to "strong".
💼 The unemployment rate holds relatively steady at 4.2%, with the workforce adding 29,000 jobs in September.
📈 Inflation is at 3.7%, still above the Fed's 2% target.
📰 The Fed is still meeting 8 times a year in 2027, but one of those meetings will be about long-term monetary policy instead of including an interest-rate vote.

"Control what you can control."

In this month's All-Company meeting, we heard from our western divisional leader, Luke Easterly. He shared his "Life Plan" and how it has helped him navigate rough seasons, both personally and professionally.

Every year, he sets achievable goals in 5 buckets: faith, family, finances, fitness, and fun/friendships. These goals keep him grounded, balanced, and intentional through all of life's changes.

Luke knows what it's like to be diverted from his path. After college, he took a leap of faith and joined the mortgage industry. He changed jobs, moved to new cities, started a family, and experienced major loss.

Through it all, Luke found solace in his yearly plan and went "all in." He built healthy habits, connected with his faith, supported his loved ones, and committed to mentorship and training at work.

We learned that while we can't control the market, we can make a plan that helps us remain dedicated and focused on providing the best service possible for our clients, and being the best version of ourselves for our loved ones.

It's finally feeling like fall, so what better way to celebrate the turning of the season than with a parking lot tailgate?

From the Green Bay Packers to the Tennessee Titans to the Penn State Nittany Lions, we had every fan imaginable at our cookout. We love that our company is comprised of people from across the country, whether they're at our home office in Tennessee, up in New England, or all the way on the West Coast.
