AirCover is really a guarantee…not an insurance policy. 👀 That distinction matters more than most hosts realize. A guarantee means Airbnb can choose to help, but they’re not legally required to pay out. An actual insurance policy has your name on it, covers your home, your business, and you as a person, and doesn’t depend on anyone else’s discretion.

AirCover is a solid backup. It’s not something you want to be your only line of defense.

Running an Airbnb or VRBO? Your homeowners policy isn’t built for this. It’s not a house anymore, it’s a business operating inside a home.

You need:
Guest-caused damage coverage (homeowners theft/vandalism clauses exclude guests)

Commercial general liability

Business income coverage (covers lost revenue during a claim/restoration)

Tag a host who needs to see this.
