A right and the ability to exercise it are not the same thing. You can have the right on paper and still be locked out of it in practice.
The right to keep and bear arms was never just about permission. It has always been about the transactions that put permission into practice— walking into a store, or a bank, and coming out with what’s already yours. Behind that sits something simple: a right you can’t exercise has already been infringed upon.
That’s the door being quietly closed on this industry. Not a ban — nobody has to pass one in this case. Just a card declined, an account frozen overnight, a bank that decides the relationship isn’t worth the risk. A right rationed by whoever controls the transaction was never being treated as a right to begin with.
Jefferson wrote that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies. He was picturing a ledger, and who gets to hold the pen. That hasn’t changed. Only who might be holding it now.
Credova exists so that our partners know the answer to that question.
