What are the financial consequences of death?

In addition to the emotional consequences of death, the financial consequences can be devastating, especially if the deceased has financial obligations to others. The death of a person who provides the primary income for a family can result in a number of losses for the survivors, including the loss of:

* a home, through lack of funds to continue making the mortgage or rent payments
* adequate food and clothing
* children's education
* a survivor's income, both current income and retirement income

Life insurance is often the answer to the financial uncertainty caused by death because it provides a predetermined sum, of money - the death benefit - precisely when needed, i.e. when the insured individual dies.

Decreasing Term Insurance

Mortgage protection policies are normally decreasing tern insurance polices. Decreasing term insurance policies provide a constantly reducing amount of protection each year to the end of the term, usually the payoff of the mortgage. However, the premium does not decrease as the protection decreases. Because the premium remains level even though the amount of the protection declines. The policyowner pays more each year per $1000 of insurance as the insured's age increases. Many people whose mortgage protection is in the final years will note that the protection is relatively small while the premium remains high.

Example: Mortgage insurance a $300,000 mortgage for 25years. You pay $100 per month for this policy. Your mortgage is $1300 per month If the policyowner passes away at 24 years 11 he/she would have paid $28,900 in premium but the mortgage insurance will pay the mortgage off $1300. No money left over to pay bills, care for the children, education and more

In the same example if a person gets a regular 25 year term policy and the policyowner passes away with 1 month left on the mortgage. The insurance company would give the beneficiary $300.000 and then he/she would pay the 1 month of $1300 leaving $289,700

Dental insurance cost varies. It all depends on what you use it for. If you just need a cleaning and x-rays a plan the cost a little may be for you. Some will have a waiting period before they pay for major work.



Getting a vision exam could help detect tumors and diabetes. They say the eyes are the heart of your soul, this is true. Vision plans cover a lot for not so much money.

House advances health care price transparency bill

House lawmakers voted 320-71 to pass the Lower Costs, More Transparency Act, which would require hospitals and pharmacy benefit managers to publish their prices and rates before charging patients. The legislation would eliminate $7 billion in funding for the Medicaid Improvement Fund and $16 billion in disproportionate share hospital cuts per year through 2025, and provide $15 billion in funding to support community health centers and programs to mitigate physician shortages in underserved areas, among other provisions.
