Rates get all the attention. The real story is this gap. π
In 1980, a median home cost about 3.65x the median household income. Today, that number is 5.08x. That's the shift that actually makes buying feel harder right now β not the interest rate on your loan.
Doesn't mean it's not doable. It means the numbers you need to know are different than the ones everyone's arguing about online.
