🥎 DeKalb Softball Player of the Month: Serena Wineland

Senior catcher Serena Wineland is DeKalb’s Player of the Month for May! After a slow start to the season, Serena came back strong and led the team with a .462 batting average and a .579 on-base percentage during the month. She recorded 12 hits, including 3 doubles and 1 home run, along with 5 RBIs, 11 runs scored, and 6 walks. Serena also holds the highest batting average among the team’s starters this season at .368.

A quiet leader who leads by example every day, Serena’s impact on this team has been huge. We're proud of you, Serena!

⚾ DeKalb Baseball Player of the Month: Drake Hall

Junior Drake Hall had a huge month of May, batting .417 while going 10-for-24 at the plate. He recorded 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 home runs, while driving in 9 runs and scoring 10 more. Drake also added 3 stolen bases and finished the month with an outstanding .517 on-base percentage. Amazing job, Drake!

🥎 Garrett Softball Player of the Month: Ashlee Vanderbosch

Ashlee put together an outstanding month in the circle for Garrett, pitching 78.1 innings with an 8-3 record while striking out an incredible 114 batters. She allowed just 16 earned runs in April, finishing the month with a 1.430 ERA. Great work, Ashlee! 👏

⚾ Garrett Baseball Player of the Month: Lucas Collins

Lucas had an outstanding first month of his junior season, both at the plate and on the mound. He’s hitting .425, leads the team with 17 hits, and added a home run offensively. On the mound, Lucas recorded 2 wins, struck out 56 batters compared to just 14 walks, and threw a no-hitter against Angola. Great start to the season, Lucas! 👏
