The 2026 Atlanta PRIDE Festival is right around the corner! Scheduled for the weekend of October 9-11 in Midtown, we will are still seeking members to volunteer with set-up, booths, the parade, and more! This year's theme is ‘Louder and Prouder’ and we can't wait to see you soon - please volunteer if you are able!

Yesterday, IATSE welcomed the announcement of a settlement of the much litigated merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery after determining that the deal would include significant protections for workers throughout the motion picture and television industry.

This agreement creates measurable obligations tied directly to production levels, investment, and employment opportunities, including: a commitment to theatrical movies, more production and more work in the United States, real consequences for falling short of annual theatrical release commitments, protections for cable networks and distributors, labor and workforce protections, a commitment to investing in the industry, editorial independence at CBS News and CNN, continuing commitment to a free streaming platform, with ongoing monitored oversight.

IATSE is working with industry leaders and lawmakers from both parties to develop legislation that can pass Congress. The IA’s priority is making sure that working people are at the center of the plan, and that a federal incentive results in more productions, more workdays, and more good-paying entertainment jobs here at home.

Members of Congress are preparing to introduce a 20% tax incentive - with bonuses up to 30% -- for U.S.-based film production.
