In this final policy session, moderated by Robin Lumsdaine, Crown Prince of Bahrain Professor in International Finance at the Kogod School of Business (American University), panelists explore the impact of AI and machine learning on financial markets, highlighting key opportunities and challenges for trading, risk management, regulatory frameworks, and central banking policy.

Guest speakers include Thierry Foucault, professor of finance, HEC Paris; Paul Kedrosky, venture capitalist and research fellow, Institute for the Digital Economy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); and Hariom Tatsat, author of Machine Learning in Finance, and director, Investment Bank, NY.

: UCLA Anderson School of Management professor of finance Gregor Schubert presented research on the economic value of generative AI at the 30th annual Financial Markets Conference.

During his presentation, moderated by Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business professor of finance Sudheer Chava, Schubert detailed innovations in research methods linked to improvements in AI tools, along with their applications.
