Has the economic model kept pace with the cost of providing the service?

This article raises important questions about the future sustainability of our industry and deserves thoughtful discussion and acknowledgment.

We are asking to be treated equally just as any other vendor is that provides transportation/logistics needs.

Fuel Surcharges are needed immediately.

Thank you to those who have initiated this surcharge, you are appreciated far more than you know. To our partners that have not implemented this, we cannot continue to be expected to absorb this cost any longer.

On March 20, 2026, Governor Kemp signed House Bill (HB) 1199 into law, suspending the collection of motor fuel excise tax from 11:00 AM on March 20, 2026 through 11:59 PM on May 19, 2026 (the “Suspension Period”). The suspension applies to Georgia motor fuel excise tax imposed under O.C.G.A. § ...

To all of the mothers in our industry, we see you. 🌸💓

This industry never stops. It runs around the clock, multiple shifts, weekends, holidays, late nights, early mornings, and everything in between. The work is demanding, exhausting, and relentless. Yet somehow, our mothers continue showing up …balancing children, homes, schedules, school events, meals, emotions, businesses, employees, and the countless things nobody else even realizes must be done and yet most still find the time to volunteer. We see the sacrifices you make.

So much of what keeps this industry moving happens quietly behind the scenes, and without the women carrying those burdens, many operations simply would not function.

Today, we want to recognize the mothers who pour from empty cups, who carry stress silently, who push through exhaustion, and who continue giving so much of themselves to both their families and this profession.

Thank you for the strength, sacrifice, patience, and love you give every single day. Your work matters more than words can express.

To Amanda Peterson, you are in inspiration to so many. Your strength is like nothing I’ve ever seen. Please know, you have so many people who are here for you and will always be.

From all of us at Georgia Association of Licensed Repossessors,

Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

Today, GALR proudly held our first in-person meeting of 2026 and we are honored to share that it was the largest quarterly meeting in the association’s history!

We were especially honored to welcome the Georgia Department of Public Safety, who provided an outstanding educational program on driver safety and distracted driving. Their time, knowledge, and commitment to education were greatly appreciated.

We also want to recognize Richard Grosvenor with Speedy Recovery and Jonathan Edwards with Triton Recovery for conducting a live driver training session focused on secured loads and pre-trip inspections. Their hands-on presentation brought real value to everyone in attendance.

Quick Recovery was proud to have their Safety Manager present on situational awareness, reinforcing the importance of staying alert and prepared in the field.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, and the fellowship among all was even better. Events like this remind us how important it is to come together, learn from one another, and strengthen our profession.

A very special thank you goes to Ronnie Lowery with M&K and his team for generously providing dinner for the entire class prepared by himself. The meal was absolutely outstanding and truly appreciated by all!

We are grateful, humbled, and proud of today’s success. If this meeting is any indication of what lies ahead, GALR is poised to accomplish great things in 2026.

See everyone tomorrow!!
