Hi, I’m Michael Schubert — and I strive to help people sleep better at night.

By day, I work in the insurance industry as a Producer at the Oliva Agency. I focus on all aspects of Insurance, guiding clients through complex choices so they can protect what matters most.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me watching, playing, coaching, or attending all sorts of sporting events. Im the proud father of 4 boys ranging from 8-18, all of which are in some sort of sport. I am VERY passionate about my family as it is the most important thing to me, so if were not out on the field or court you can find us spending time with our extended family barbecuing and hanging out!
Early in my career, I saw how the right coverage can turn a worst-case scenario into a manageable setback—and how the wrong coverage can do the opposite. That stuck with me. Insurance isn’t just policies and premiums; it’s a promise that when life happens, you won’t face it alone. I’m here to make that promise clear, practical, and dependable.
If you’re navigating a change—new home, growing business, expanding team—or just want a second look at your current coverage, I’m would be more than happy to be a resource.

Still Have an Old 401(k)? It May Be Time for a Checkup.

Changing jobs often means leaving behind an old 401(k). What many people don't realize is that those retirement accounts can become scattered, difficult to track, and may no longer align with their long-term goals.

A rollover may offer several potential benefits:

✅ Consolidate retirement accounts into one place
✅ Simplify account management and paperwork
✅ Gain a clearer picture of your retirement savings
✅ Access a wider range of investment options
✅ Ensure your investments continue to match your goals and risk tolerance

I've met many people who weren't even sure where all of their old retirement accounts were located. Taking a few minutes to review old 401(k)s can help you stay organized and make more informed decisions about your financial future.

Every situation is different, and a rollover isn't always the right choice. Be sure to consider fees, investment options, services, and potential tax implications before making a decision.

Retirement planning isn't just about saving more—it's about making the most of what you've already worked hard to build.

Do you know where all of your retirement accounts are today?

A Tale of Two Families

Recently, I met two women. Both were business owners. Both were widows.

Each had spent years working alongside her husband, building a business, raising a family, and creating a future together.

Then cancer changed everything.

One husband had life insurance.

The other did not.

The widow whose husband had life insurance told me something I'll never forget. The greatest gift wasn't the money—it was time. Time to focus on her children. Time to grieve. Time to heal without worrying about how the bills would be paid or whether the business would survive.

The other widow returned to work just four days after her husband passed away.

More than a year later, she told me she still hasn't had a chance to catch her breath. Every day is spent keeping the business running and managing responsibilities that once belonged to two people.

Both families suffered a devastating loss.

But their financial realities were very different.

Life insurance cannot replace a spouse, parent, or business partner. It can't erase the pain of loss.

What it can do is provide financial stability when a family needs it most. It can help keep a home, a business, and future plans intact while loved ones focus on healing.

Life insurance isn't for the person who dies. It's for the people who stay behind.

Protect the people you love.

Hi, I'm Claciann, owner of the Farmers Insurance Oliva Agency!

For me, insurance is about more than policies and premiums—it's about helping people protect what matters most. Whether I'm reviewing coverage with a family, helping a business owner navigate their options, or supporting a client through a claim, my goal is to make insurance less complicated and more personal.

A little about me outside the office: I'm the proud mom of two daughters, and I'm especially excited that my youngest recently graduated from Pomona Junior/Senior High School and is headed off to college. Our family also includes two dogs, who my daughters will happily tell you are my favorites!

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me gardening, cooking, entertaining friends and family, or spending time on the golf course as I continue to learn the game.

One of the things I love most about being a local agent is building relationships and getting to know the people behind the policies. It's a privilege to serve families and business owners throughout Arvada and the surrounding communities.

Thank you for trusting my team and me to help protect your homes, vehicles, businesses, and futures. We truly appreciate the opportunity to be part of your journey.

I'd love to get to know you, too! Share a fun fact about yourself in the comments.

Would Your Home Be Fully Rebuilt Today?

A few years ago, many families lost their homes in the Marshall Fires.

They assumed their insurance coverage was enough… until reconstruction estimates came back significantly higher than expected due to building code changes and rising labor and material costs.

What they thought would be fully covered turned into unexpected out-of-pocket expenses averaging $150,000 and difficult decisions during an already stressful time.

Many homeowners don’t realize:
Reconstruction costs have increased dramatically
Building materials are more expensive
Labor shortages impact repair costs
Older policies may not reflect current rebuilding prices

A quick policy review can help ensure your home is properly protected before disaster strikes.

Because home insurance isn’t just about having coverage — it’s about having enough coverage when it matters most.

“One Text Changed Everything”

A young driver looked down at a text for just a few seconds.

That moment caused a serious accident with injuries exceeding $200,000.

The driver carried only the state minimum liability limits. They thought they had 'Full Coverage"
Their insurance paid up to the policy limit… but it wasn’t enough.

The remaining balance became their personal responsibility.

The result?

A lawsuit judgment
Wages were garnished
Financial stress
Dropping out of school to help pay the debt

Most people think minimum coverage is “good enough” — until real life proves otherwise.

Accidents happen.

The right liability limits can help protect:
✔ Your future income
✔ Your savings
✔ Your education goals
✔ Your family’s financial stability

Cheap insurance can become the most expensive mistake.

Let’s review your coverage before an accident decides for you.

You Might Be Overpaying — or Worse, Underinsured

Most people assume their insurance is “good enough”… until they actually need it.

The truth is, you could be:

✔ Paying for coverage you don’t need
❌ Missing important protection you DO need
📈 Carrying outdated limits that no longer match today’s costs

Life changes fast:

Home values increase
Reconstruction costs rise
Businesses grow
New drivers get added
Assets change

An insurance review can help uncover:
✅ Potential savings
✅ Coverage gaps
✅ Better protection for your family or business

The goal isn’t just cheaper insurance — it’s making sure you’re properly protected when it matters most.

Most drivers think they have “full coverage” because they carry comprehensive and collision, “full coverage” along with the state minimum auto insurance limits. The reality? State minimum coverage is often far below the cost of a serious accident.

Example:
A multi-car accident or a serious accident with injuries can easily lead to:
• $100,000+ in medical bills
• Lost wages
• Vehicle damage
• Lawsuits and legal expenses

But Colorado's state minimum policies provide only a fraction of that protection. Once your limits are exhausted, you could be personally responsible for the remaining costs.

Auto insurance shouldn’t just help you stay legal — it should help protect your income, savings, and future.

Now is a great time to review your liability limits and make sure they match today’s real-world risks, not just the minimum required by the state.

Have questions about your current coverage? Let’s review your policy and make sure you’re properly protected.

Cyber threats aren’t just targeting large corporations anymore. Small and mid-sized businesses are increasingly at risk for cyberattacks, data breaches, ransomware, and fraudulent wire transfers.

One cyber incident can lead to:
⚠️ Lost income from business interruption
⚠️ Customer notification costs
⚠️ Legal expenses and regulatory fines
⚠️ Reputation damage
⚠️ Recovery and IT restoration expenses

Many business owners assume their general liability policy covers cyber events — but most policies provide little to no cyber protection.

Cyber insurance can help your business recover faster and reduce the financial impact of a cyberattack. In today’s digital world, protecting your data is just as important as protecting your building or equipment.

Let’s review your business coverage and make sure your company is protected against modern cyber risks.
