Have you ever wanted to learn more about what the Arlington Police Department does?

We are now accepting applications for our next Citizens Police Academy, which kicks off on September 14!

This FREE 11-week program gives community members an inside look at APD and an opportunity to learn directly from the officers and units that serve our city. Topics include SWAT, K-9, Crime Scene, UAS, Investigations, Traffic Stops, and more!

Applicants must be 18 or older, be able to pass a background check, and either live or work in Arlington. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 7.

As you settle into the new school year, take a moment to get to know the SRO assigned to your campus. They are there to support you, answer questions, and help keep your school community safe.

Remember: If you see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, say something. Tell a teacher, staff member, or your SRO.
