The Board of Directors of First Federal Savings Bank of Angola has announced the hiring of its new Operations Manager following the retirement of its long-time incumbent from full-time work at the end of August.
Courtney A. Merritt is returning to First Federal Savings Bank of Angola, where she began her banking career in 2013. While at First Federal, she quickly advanced from a teller to a customer service representative. Following a brief period working for the family business and starting her own family, Courtney returned to banking and, in recent years, advanced to the position of assistant branch manager with Beacon Credit Union in Auburn. Having lived in Steuben County for most of her life, Courtney has strong ties to the local community. She is currently completing her associate’s degree in Business Administration (AAS) at Ivy Tech Community College. Courtney’s previous experience with First Federal, combined with the additional banking experience she has gained over the years and her connection to the local community, make her a great addition to the First Federal team once again.
First Federal Savings Bank of Angola, founded in 1933, is the oldest financial institution headquartered in Steuben County.
