Congratulations to the Alaska Marketplace and Path to Prosperity finalists on completing a 4-day Entrepreneur Camp in Anchorage earlier this month!

Finalists worked through business plans, financial projections, met with coaches, and completed their pitches. Many traveled in from the North Slope, Bristol Bay, and Southeast Alaska to learn together.

We’re excited for them to submit their business plans for a chance to win up to $20,000 to start or grow their businesses!

We're proud to announce that Jennifer Snodgrass has been named Vice President & Lending Manager of Alaska Growth Capital.

Jennifer joined AGC as a Commercial Loan Officer in 2018. She was born and raised in Alaska and has spent her whole career in banking, working as a consumer loan officer, a cash management officer, and a commercial loan officer. Jennifer has held numerous leadership roles with Anchorage East Rotary, including serving as President, and she currently serves as Anchorage Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5010, supporting clubs across the region. The Alaska Journal of Commerce named her to its Top Forty Under 40 class of 2019.

Please join us in welcoming Donnie Lawhead to Alaska Growth Capital as our new Credit Support Analyst.

He supports credit administration and loan underwriting, with a focus on financial statement spreading and analysis, credit review, and preparation of supporting loan documentation.

Donnie is an Alutiiq and shareholder of Bristol Bay Native Corporation, with strong personal ties to the communities AGC serves across Alaska. He is also a lifelong commercial fisherman, having spent 16 years fishing in Bristol Bay and Kodiak, giving him firsthand experience with the small businesses and industries that are an important part of Alaska’s economy. Donnie holds Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Julie Woodworth is AGC's new President and CEO. Julie has been part of the AGC team since 2019, most recently as Senior Vice President and Lending Manager, and brings more than three decades of banking experience across Alaska.

She takes the helm from Logan Birch, who's moving into a new role as SVP and CFO of Bristol Bay Native Corporation. As Logan put it:
