ππ¦ Hit a Pole or Hit a Deer? What's the Difference?
With deer season in full swing here in Ohio, it's a great time to talk about something many drivers don't realize: Not all accidents are covered the same way!
Do you know the difference between comprehensive and collision coverage? π€
π Collision Coverage: Generally helps pay for damage to your vehicle if you hit another vehicle or an object, like a telephone pole, guardrail, or fence.
π¦ Comprehensive Coverage: Generally helps cover damage caused by things like hitting a deer, falling trees, hail, fire, theft, or vandalism.
π‘ Here's something that might surprise you! If you hit a deer, it's typically covered under comprehensive coverage. But if you swerve to avoid that deer and hit a tree instead, it's generally considered a collision claim!
At Yanak Insurance Group, we believe understanding your insurance is just as important as having it. Our team is always happy to answer your questions, explain your options, and make sure you understand the coverage you have.
Not sure if your vehicle has comprehensive and collision coverage? Give us a call! We'd be happy to take a look at your policy with you.
