FRAUD ALERT! Phishing emails are on the rise- be careful! Verify the sender when you get something that wants you to click through to some site or another. Also look for spelling errors, weird typography, and don't hesitate to call a business directly before clicking on anything.

Pop quiz: you hit a deer out on Highway 22. Comprehensive or Collision? (It's Comprehensive. Swerve and hit the guardrail instead and that's generally Collision.) ODFW says deer and elk crashes peak in October and November, so slow down at dusk and don't swerve. One more reason I like Comprehensive on every vehicle, even the old ones.

64 years ago today, the Columbus Day Storm tore through the Willamette Valley. Ask anyone who was here... they can still tell you exactly where they were standing. Windstorm season is back, so take a walk around the yard and look UP at what's leaning over the roof. A lot easier to call the tree guy in October than in the middle of a January blow.
