Still two of the main reasons I ever bought Life Insurance! Why? Because I care that Connie will have the money needed to take care of herself and raise our kids to adults.
This sign and photo of my kids sat on my desk for years and is 100% accurate. May 2nd is National Life Insurance day. Why did I buy life insurance? The main reasons are if I passed away before my kids were grown I did not want my wife to lose the house so I wanted the mortgage paid off. I wanted the cars paid off. I wanted my kids to afford college, I wanted my income to be replaced for a long period of time, I wanted the electricity to stay on and monthly bills to be paid and finally, I wanted my family to have the funeral expenses paid. Basically, I do not want my family to struggle financially as I have seen others do that did not have life insurance. Now that I am older and the kids are almost grown, some of those reasons have changed but some still remain, such as income replacement in the future for my wife. I encourage you to look at your financial situation and see how your wife and kids will be taken care of should you pass away today. What will it look like tomorrow for them based on your savings and life insurance right now?
