Meet Christopher Kerr, one of our 2026 Scholarship winners! 💙

Christopher was on his way to work when he saw the email that would make his day. His reaction? Complete shock, followed by gratitude and excitement! He couldn’t wait to share the news with his mom when he got home.

Over the past year, Christopher has dedicated countless hours to serving as President of his university’s Accounting Association, supporting approximately 145 student members. That commitment meant he wasn’t always able to work a paid position, making this scholarship especially meaningful as he works toward completing his master’s degree. With this support, Christopher can focus on his studies and his role as a Teaching Assistant for Introductory Accounting while preparing for all four CPA exams. 📚 His goal? Complete all four CPA exams by the end of next summer and begin his career in business and high-value taxation. 📊

Congratulations, Christopher! We’re proud to support your hard work, leadership, and big plans for the future. We can’t wait to see where your accounting career takes you! 😊

Nonprofit organizations dedicate so much time, energy, and resources to advancing their missions; but behind the scenes many are working to cover essential needs that often go unseen.

Broadview’s Infrastructure & Safety Grants were created to help bridge that gap by supporting the projects and improvements that keep organizations moving forward and serving their communities. 💙 Applications are open now through September 11. Let’s build stronger communities together. Apply today: https://bit.ly/4cERWko

This August, we’re continuing our partnership with WTEN for Broadview’s monthly Community Corner series; highlighting local organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of people across our communities. 💙

We’re proud to feature Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, an organization dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. For more than 120 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has connected caring adult mentors with young people to build meaningful relationships that can have a lasting impact. Through mentorship, young people can develop greater confidence, stronger relationships, higher aspirations, and the tools they need to achieve educational success.

Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region is actively seeking more volunteer mentors to help meet the growing need in our community. If you’ve ever considered making a difference in a young person’s life, now is a great time to get involved. Learn more and sign up to become a Big: https://bit.ly/4znr6WH

Back-to-school season is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited! 😄

Last month, Broadview was proud to attend the New York State School Boards Association Leadership in Education Event as we continue our partnership to help students build the financial knowledge and confidence they’ll carry into adulthood.

We’re also looking forward to launching Future Ready, our new financial education four-part series for students ages 14-18, designed to support teachers in reaching their personal financial instruction goals. Future Ready will help students connect their strengths, career goals, lifestyle choices, and money management into one practical plan for the future.

We can’t wait to bring this program into schools and help prepare the next generation for success. Here’s to an amazing back-to-school season! 📚⭐🍎
