Last week, members of our lending team had a full circle moment when they got to reconnect with new homeowners, Juan and Christine, who each now own their own homes on Prosperity Way in Housantic, thanks to a partnership with Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, and the Great Barrington Affordable Housing Trust. This meeting was the culmination of months spent working alongside these homeowners, hearing their stories, and helping make homeownership possible.

Each of the 20 planned homes will also include a piece of Berkshire County history: reclaimed wood from the 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, donated by the Albert family of West Stockbridge and crafted into commemorative planks. It’s a meaningful connection to the community these homes will serve for generations to come.

Congrats to both Juan and Christine, along with their families. We are so excited for you and proud to have been a part of your homeownership milestone!

Scams are becoming more sophisticated, and staying informed can help protect our community.

The FBI recently shared information about scams targeting consumers, including what the FBI will never ask you to do and how scammers are becoming increasingly convincing.

We’re sharing this as a reminder to our customers, friends and neighbors: when in doubt, pause and contact your bank before taking action. If you bank with us, we’re always here to help.

After 16 years with Adams Community Bank, 35 years in banking, Carol is beginning a well-deserved new chapter. From her start as a branch manager in Cheshire to her current role as Vice President and Branch Manager overseeing our Park Street Branch, she has built meaningful relationships, provided exceptional service, and served as a trusted leader and mentor to many across the Bank.

Our Park Street Branch in Adams will be closed on Saturday, September 12, due to the town's 150th Anniversary Parade, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The North Adams Branch lobby and drive-up will be open from 8:30 a.m.–noon, with ITM services available from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Adams Street Fair will start immediately following the parade with bands, food trucks and vendors. We hope to see you out celebrating!

Meet Faith, an ACB seasonal summer teller! As Faith prepares to begin her junior year at UMass Amherst, where she’s majoring in Education, she has spent her summer gaining valuable customer service experience by serving our community.

I loved learning new skills! There was so much about banking that I did not know before. It’s not as easy as it looks!

Together, Adams Community Bank and Pittsfield Cooperative Bank donated 100 sleeping bags to support the regional camping event at Camp Stevenson Witawentin hosted by Girls Inc., with each bank contributing 50 sleeping bags.

We're grateful for team members like ACB's Dan and PCB's Jeff, who are often the behind-the-scenes force making things happen. From coordinating logistics to delivering all 100 sleeping bags, they helped ensure campers have what they need for a successful and memorable experience.

We're proud to support opportunities that help local girls build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories.
