Goldstar's Guide to Adulting: how to actually read your insurance policy ☕
Grab a coffee and let's do this together:
1️⃣ Start with the Exclusions. They're the bits the policy doesn't cover, and they're surprisingly interesting once you know where to look.
2️⃣ Check your Sum Insured. This is the amount you're covered for. If you set it a few years ago, it might be worth a review; prices have changed!
3️⃣ Find the Excess. That's your contribution when you claim. You bring a little to the table, we bring the rest. That's how it works.
4️⃣ Note the renewal date. Pop it in your diary, set a reminder, and tell your broker. Your future self will be very grateful.
