Great to be at AWS Summit Bangkok 2026 today alongside founders, enterprise leaders, and ecosystem partners.

A highlight for us was seeing PRIMO - Enterprise Loyalty Platform, one of Beacon VC’s portfolio companies, share how they build and scale with AWS to help brands deliver more personalized customer engagement and turn insights into action through Nong Baitoey, their Agentic AI.

Other notable takeaways from the day:
• Cloud + AI infrastructure at scale — strong focus on how companies are building reliable and secure systems for the next phase of growth
• Accuracy and performance — practical discussions around improving model quality and delivering better outcomes in real business environments
• Real business applications — from customer engagement and marketing to enterprise transformation across industries

“Financing Asia’s Transition” at Ecosperity Week 2026 highlighted how Asia’s energy transition is no longer a future conversation — we are already in the ex*****on phase.

A few themes stood out strongly across the panel:

• Capital is flowing into renewables, storage, electrification, and grid modernization — but unevenly across Asia. China and India continue to lead, while emerging Southeast Asian markets still face funding and infrastructure gaps.

• Grid infrastructure is now one of the biggest bottlenecks. Smarter grids, regional interconnection, battery storage, and transmission upgrades will be critical to scaling renewables affordably.

• Public-private-philanthropic partnerships (“4Ps”) are essential. MDBs, governments, regulators, and private capital all need to work together to de-risk projects and create bankable frameworks.

• The challenge is not a shortage of capital — it’s creating investable, scalable, repeatable structures that connect projects to financing.

• Adaptation and resilience financing is becoming just as important as mitigation. From water security and resilient infrastructure to supply chain resilience and disaster-risk financing, Asia needs far greater investment in climate adaptation solutions.

One point that resonated deeply:
Clear policy direction and long-term visibility are critical for unlocking private sector confidence and building resilient supply chains.

Great discussions on how collaboration between governments, MDBs, regulators, insurers, and investors can accelerate Asia’s transition journey.

Beacon VC joining Ecosperity Week 2026 in Singapore 🇸🇬 connecting with global leaders, investors, and innovators shaping the future of sustainability, climate, and energy transition. 🌏

One of the sessions that stood out today focused on the growing pressure on global power infrastructure driven by electrification, AI, and data centers. The discussion highlighted how next-generation technologies such as modular microgrids and linear generators could help build more resilient, scalable, and lower-emission energy systems.

A strong reminder that the future of climate tech is not only about clean energy generation, but also about creating smarter and more flexible infrastructure to support the world’s rapidly growing energy demand.

As part of Beacon VC’s regular check-ins with portfolio companies, we recently had an inspiring session with Ookbee, seeing how the company continues to evolve with the times.

Joylada, a chat-style novel platform within Ookbee’s digital ecosystem, started as a storytelling platform. Today marks another milestone as Joylada innovates beyond traditional storytelling by expanding into AI-powered Character Chat, blending fiction, fandom, and AI. 🤖📚

With Character Chat:

✨ Creators can bring their fictional characters to life using AI
💬 Fans can chat with their favorite characters
💰 Creators can unlock new monetization streams

From a VC perspective, this is interesting for a few reasons:

1️⃣ It increases value from existing content.
Instead of just publishing more stories, Joylada enables creators to leverage their characters in new ways. That means more engagement without starting from zero.

2️⃣ AI works best when there’s already a strong community.
