Hope everyone’s having a good Sunday!
Just wanted to share a story I’ve read a couple of days back which I feel may serve as a good reminder for all of us - never take our health for granted, no matter how healthy we are or basing on our family history.
Being in this line for quite some time, I’ve seen stories of healthy adults who have been struck with illnesses/ accidents that they never thought happened to them. Which serves the need of a life/ critical illness policy, to help us tide through difficult times to focus on recovery instead of being in financial stress due to the sudden loss of income.
This article shed more light on the real life cases of people struggling to find jobs after being struck with illnesses due to the fact that the employers feel its too much of a health risk to take them in - a sad truth which says a lot about the working environment in SG.
A perspective I can share is - the people who were hospitalised didn’t know that they would end up there. Hence, the best we could do is to prepare/protect ourselves in case such things happen, especially when it could impact our finances drastically (eg: loss of job due to an illness/ disability)
With that, I hope that it serves to strengthen the importance of an income replacement (life/term) which helps to protect you financially in terms of need when such things happen. Feel free to share this with your loved ones.
Should you need more information about the idea of protecting your wealth, feel free to message me. No obligations, just hoping to spread more awareness about it :) I hope to create some content if there’s interest!
Have a great weekend!
