Share ko lang. My first client was way back 2011.
I was referred by a schoolmate to a group of Engineering Students looking for someone who will make their Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for their Feasibility Study compliance. Desperado na kasi sila.
I wanted the extra income. I don't know how much they gonna pay me. But still, I accepted the task because I have a general idea how to help them.
Surprise surprise! That's the first time I encountered and used Microsoft Excel. Word lang alam ko dati. 😆 I even remembered encoding numbers in the cells of the Excel, then doing the totaling in a separate calculator, then manually encoding as well the answer shown on the calcu. Natawa yata client ko nung nakita nila, tinuruan ako ng autosum. Nung nalaman kong pwede pala yon, na mag-add and magmultiply sa Excel, feeling ko nagsuper saiyan ako kasi naimagine ko paano siya gagawin ng mas madali. 😂
Overnight for 2 days with them, walang ligo kasama nila, pero spoiled naman ako sa food. Alagang-alaga si Accountant. Umuwi akong merong P1,000. Not bad. 😁
Then that client apparently got a high grade (not because of me surely kasi mukhang kinahig pa ng manok yung itsura ng FS ko nun, tama pagkakagawa pero mukhang scratch). Next semester, students are looking for me para magawan din sila ng Financials. Word of mouth. Hanggang ibang schools nagpapagawa na rin. They contact me via text and call (nagkakaroon sila ng number ko), since di pa uso yung via FB ang usapan. Ang bayad nila is Palawan or Cebuana pa kasi di pa sikat JiKash. Di pa masyado uso online, so pinupuntahan ko sila either sa coffee shop or sa bahay nila mismo (minsan kasama ko pa magdinner parents ni client). Farthest meet-up is Laguna. I'm from QC before.
After about 14 years, I still do this with my team behind me. Have served more than 3,500 groups, still counting. Napakabuti ng Diyos.
It's our joy na makatanggap ng messages na feasib defended, picture ng bookbind, group picture after defense, etc. Kalakasan po namin yan.
May multiple instances din na si professor now is client namin nung nag-aaral siya, and nirerefer kami sa students niya (wala silang commission para iwas conflict of interest).
Salamat po sa patuloy na tiwala. Dati sideline lang, ngayon legally registered business na. Nagbabayad na ng business and income tax, for our nepo babies. ❤️
