LAE, MOROBE PROVINCE – Nambawan Savings and Loan Society (NSLS) is running a special promotion at the Morobe Show in Lae. Current members can now open two Pikinini Accounts for their children completely for free.

This program helps families start saving money early for their children. Local teacher Lila Manuap shared how she is using this opportunity to plan for her children's future.

Ms. Manuap is 31 years old and comes from Morobe. She has been a teacher for nine years and currently teaches at Muya Primary School in the Huon Gulf District. As a mother of two, she wants to build a strong financial start for her five-year-old daughter and one-year-old son.

"I am saving for both of them," Ms. Manuap said. "I have divided the percentages into equal portions for each child."

The NSLS Pikinini Account program encourages parents in Morobe to save money regularly. By removing the opening fees for two accounts, NSLS makes it easier for families to save for their children's school fees and future needs.

Parents and guardians at the Morobe Show can visit the NSLS booth inside the Ted Jennings Building to open these free accounts before the show ends.
