Big news for motorists today, the Government has scrapped the planned 12c/litre fuel tax increase for 2027, pushing smaller rises out to 2028! 🚗💨

But remember: if you're using petrol for off-road machinery, farming, boats, or commercial equipment, you don't have to wait for tax relief. You can already claim back the current excise duty (76c per litre + GST)! 🚜🛥️🛠️

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said a 5c per litre rise would instead begin in 2028, backed by a $1.476b top-up to the National Land Transport Fund.
