Your mortgage can either speed up wealth creation or slow it down.

If the structure is wrong, you lose flexibility. If it’s right, you can build momentum — while still investing for the future.

It’s not ‘either/or’.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Should I focus on property or managed funds?
• Am I taking on too much risk?

If you’d like a second opinion, I’m here.

Financial planning isn’t about perfection. It’s about control.

A simple plan can show what’s possible, what needs to change, and what you can ignore.

Once you can see it clearly, decisions get easier.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Should I invest or clear debt first?
• How much do I actually need for retirement?

Happy to run through your options and map out a plan.

Splitting your mortgage can reduce risk — but only if it’s done with a purpose.

Staggering terms can smooth rate changes and keep flexibility for lump sums.

But with smaller balances, splitting isn’t always worth it. It depends.

Questions I’m often asked:
• How long should I fix for right now?
• Is it worth splitting my mortgage?

If you want clarity before making a move, flick me a message.

KiwiSaver and your mortgage shouldn’t be treated separately.

Sometimes the best move is debt reduction. Sometimes investing makes more sense.

The right answer depends on your interest rate, goals, and how comfortable you are with risk.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Am I in the right fund for my age and goals?
• Should I contribute more than the minimum?

If you want clarity before making a move, flick me a message.

Open homes are the fun part. The lending rules are the confusing part.

Banks all assess first home buyers slightly differently — so one ‘no’ doesn’t always mean no.

The best approach is to sort the strategy early, then shop with confidence.

Questions I’m often asked:
• How much can I safely afford without stretching myself?
• Should I fix short or long on my first home loan?

If you’d like a second opinion, I’m here.

I see a lot of Tauranga homeowners paying ‘loyalty tax’.

They refix again and again without checking the market.

A refinance can be the reset button — if the numbers stack up and the timing is right.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Is refinancing worth it right now?
• Will I have break costs if I switch banks?

Happy to run through your options and map out a plan.

Most people won’t ‘retire early’ in one big jump.

But they can buy freedom: fewer hours, more options, less pressure.

Often that starts with getting the mortgage and investing strategy aligned.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Can I retire early without being unrealistic?
• What needs to change to make it possible?

If you want clarity before making a move, flick me a message.

The best first home move is the one you can hold through rate changes.

If repayments only work at today’s rate, you’re taking more risk than you think.

A sensible buffer in your budget is one of the smartest things a first home buyer can build.

Questions I’m often asked:
• How much can I safely afford without stretching myself?
• Should I fix short or long on my first home loan?

Happy to run through your options and map out a plan.

Wealth creation in NZ isn’t about chasing trends.

It’s boring stuff done consistently: the right mortgage structure, a clear investment plan, and not blowing up your risk.

If it feels complicated, it’s usually not set up well.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Should I focus on property or managed funds?
• Am I taking on too much risk?

Happy to run through your options and map out a plan.

Investing is meant to build wealth, not create stress.

If the cashflow is tight from day one, you’re relying on perfect conditions. They don’t stay perfect.

I’d rather see a deal that still works when rates move and repairs pop up.

Questions I’m often asked:
• Should I go interest-only or principal & interest?
• Will this limit my ability to buy another one later?

If you’d like a second opinion, I’m here.
