My Story — Why I Do What I Do

14 years ago, I came to New Zealand and started from scratch. 🇳🇿

I worked different jobs and did whatever I needed to do to build a life—even climbing into roof cavities while selling ventilation machines! 😄 It wasn’t always easy, but every experience taught me resilience, hard work and the importance of creating a secure future.

Coming from a family where finances were not always managed well, I learned that earning money is one thing—but knowing how to protect and grow it is another.

For the past 13 years, I’ve been in the financial services industry, and along the way, I discovered something I truly love—helping people.

I’ve seen fellow migrants work incredibly hard to build a better life in New Zealand, only to lose everything they worked for when an unexpected illness, accident or death happened.

We come here with dreams—a home, a secure family, a better future. 🏡❤️

That’s why this is more than just a job for me. It’s a calling.

After 13 years, I still feel grateful every time I help someone protect their family, buy their first home, start investing, or take a step towards financial independence.

One thing I’ve learned after more than 13 years of helping families with insurance is this:

Hindi naman natin iniisip ang “what if” kapag okay ang lahat.
Pero kapag biglang nagkasakit, naaksidente, or nawalan ng income… doon natin mararamdaman kung gaano ka-importanteng maging prepared.

I’ve helped clients find ways to protect their family, income and home without putting too much pressure on their budget.

Kaya if matagal mo nang iniisip na, “Kailangan ko na siguro ng insurance…” — maybe this is your sign. 😊

🏡 From renting to owning — what a beautiful milestone! ❤️🇳🇿

Today, I finally had the chance to visit the home that this wonderful friend Rem DelPilar purchased while I was in the Philippines. And what makes this even more special? They’ve only been in New Zealand for 4 years since migrating from the Philippines — and now they have a place they can truly call their own! 🏡✨

Their journey is a beautiful reminder that big dreams can become reality with the right planning, commitment, and guidance. It may take time, but every step forward counts.

And what makes this visit even more special? Celebrating this beautiful milestone with special friends, good conversations, a cuppa, and of course, some delicious Vincent & Sons Honey! ☕🍯❤️
