Well done to AMP Wellington for their poignant Anzac week service today.
AMP has a proud history in New Zealand and a longstanding tradition of recognising those from the organisation who served their country.
Their Roll of Honour, recording staff who served in the First and Second World Wars, stands as a powerful reminder of duty, sacrifice, and service.
Today in Wellington, attendees heard the story of a young AMP clerk who, at just 18 years of age, enlisted with the Otago Mounted Rifles and later gave his life following the fighting of 3 August at Gallipoli.
Stories like his ensure that names on honour boards remain real people, remembered for courage and sacrifice.
AMP continue to do a wonderful job each year in recognising their fallen. It is a credit to the staff, the culture of remembrance within the company, and the ongoing support AMP gives to the New Zealand Remembrance Army.
They truly embody the New Zealand spirit of remembrance.
Lest we forget.
