💰 Feeling the pinch from the rising cost of living?

When every dollar matters, it's worth taking a few minutes to check whether you're getting the best deal on your household bills.

Did you know you can easily compare your:
✅ Broadband provider
✅ Mobile plan
✅ Power company
✅ Appliance prices

NZ Compare makes it simple to view your options side by side, helping you make fully informed choices and potentially save money without spending hours researching different providers. NZ Compare's goal is to help Kiwis compare and save on everyday household expenses.

Sometimes the easiest way to improve your budget isn't by cutting back. It's by making sure you're not paying more than you need to. 💡

Why not take a look and see if there's a better deal out there for you?

A few minutes of comparing today could mean more money in your pocket tomorrow. 💚

Can you help us help local women shine? 💙

Dress for Success Palmerston North is currently in need of donations of women's clothing in size 18 and above.

Many of the women we support are preparing for job interviews, returning to the workforce, or starting a new chapter in their lives. Having access to stylish, professional, and well-fitting clothing can make a significant difference to their confidence and success.

If you have quality clothing in larger sizes that you no longer wear, please consider donating them to Dress for Success. Your generous contribution could help a woman take her next important step with confidence.

Every donation tells a woman, "You've got this."

Donations can be dropped off at our Palmerston North boutique during opening hours - Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am - 3pm or Saturdays 10am - 1pm.

💰 Have you heard about Buffer?

As part of Sorted Money Month, we’re checking out Buffer — a simple way to grow your savings without really feeling like you’re saving! 😊

Buffer can round up your everyday spending, with those little extra cents going straight towards your savings.

🛒 Spend $4.60? That extra 40 cents can go into your Buffer.

It might not sound like much, but those little amounts can really add up! 🙌

Before you know it, you’re watching your savings grow — one small amount at a time. 🌱💰

You don’t need a big chunk of money to start saving. Sometimes it’s simply about making those spare cents count.

✨ Every dollar has a purpose.

🌴✨ An awesome day at Pasifika Fusion Legacy ✨🌴

The Moneywise Manawatū team were proud to be there with our information booth, connecting with families, community members, and organisations from across the region. 🤝💙

One of the highlights was watching the kids celebrate their cultures through music and movement 🎶💃🕺, proudly sharing their traditions and stories in such a vibrant and joyful way. 🌺❤️

We had some great conversations ☕💬, made meaningful new connections 🤝, and enjoyed sharing more about the support and services Moneywise Manawatū offers. 📚💰

A huge thank you to the organisers, performers, volunteers, and everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello. 🙌✨ We loved being part of such a positive and inspiring community event and look forward to seeing you again soon!

💰💰 Want to grow your emergency fund without making huge changes to your budget? Try these two little challenges 👇

😴 Challenge #1: The Quiet Weekend

Once a month, have a no-spend weekend. 🏠

Skip the shopping, takeaway, movies, coffees and impulse buys. Use what you already have at home and enjoy some free time instead.

Then, at the end of the weekend, work out roughly what you would normally have spent — and put that amount into your emergency savings. 💪💵

📉 Challenge #2: Save the Difference When Life Gets Cheaper

Sometimes our regular costs go down — a cheaper power bill, a lower insurance premium, a cancelled subscription or a cheaper phone plan.

Instead of letting that extra money disappear into everyday spending, save the difference! 🙌

Even $10 or $20 here and there can gradually build a financial buffer.

✨ Small changes + consistency = a stronger emergency fund.

Which challenge will you try first? 👇
