Employers, take note: maternity leave payment rules have changed.
Under Cambodia's Labour Law, employees on maternity leave are entitled to 50% of their wages from their employer, but a new requirement now changes when that payment must happen. Employers must now pay the full 50% upfront, before maternity leave begins, not spread across the usual pay cycle, and not settled after the employee returns to work.
For HR teams, this means adjusting internal payroll processes now, before your next maternity leave case, not after.
Need help making sure your company's maternity leave process is fully compliant? Our team at AG Insurance Broker Cambodia can walk you through it.
