Its not predictable, what is more realistic is saying than the market will be shared with new players like the ones you are referring to. 100% is not realistic. As nobody can predict the future, i will not loose my time to do, but we might see surprising cliffhangers in these economic chaotic script where everything is possible. First of all humans are social beings.
Men survived all those years within groups, acting as one. in the ancient times the death sentences was the exclusion of one from the group.
Without mutual support humanity would go extinct.
In our modern society the individual get promoted to a kind of unrealistic god status. It’s chocking in some US movies where the main hero* (*another concept) fight and win alone and versus all.
In my reality, fighting alone versus all means death.
But i grew up with these concept, and i understand only today the damages it creates. People are isolated, and with the loss of jobs, added to other great auto-destructive ideas like damaging our health with alcool or drugs, or living in fear of the others, living in a permanent state of paranoia, will kill more people than any virus.
So in all cases it will lead to a bad ending, or a total shift of our social and economic system.
When the founder of Alibaba, Mister Jack Ma, created a market place, with for self assigned mission selling online products listed by the producers, here factories, to the large audience.
During the first 4 years Jack Ma faced difficlties he could not imagine. The main one was educating a chinese population not able to list a product, or even paying online.
Today the 231 Billion valued company, exist, because for many years, a commercial team did visit face to face sellers and did list offers for them, the time needed to train their clients to their sales system.
So even if these actual economic system not collapse, we can bet some individuals will create online or mixed local businesses more profitable in terms of well being and creating happiness from human interactions ?
Why not promoting local economy with more human interactions, a system we can control, because not oversized, and where the ressources and the services produced locally generate wealth for the community who produce those ressources ? English citizens of Bristol did conduct and experience in that direction , for the one interested you will be amazed to look at the results watching a french documentary named “demain” Tomorrow (2015) - IMDb, it works very well.
I suggest you interact with sales people around you, and collect their inputs on these.
