Can emotional intelligence exist without spiritual grounding?
A key reflection from this week's session of Foundation Seed Programme, facilitated by Winnie Ojee-Njenga, CEO, EKOG GLOBAL, focused on founder triggers and emotional intelligence in entrepreneurial leadership.
Entrepreneurs face constant pressure, uncertainty, and difficult decisions. Emotional intelligence helps them navigate these challenges, build relationships, and lead effectively. However, when driven solely by ambition, it can become a tool for control, self-interest, and manipulation.
When guided by the Holy Spirit, emotional intelligence is expressed through humility, wisdom, self-control, empathy, and genuine care for others.
The goal is not simply to become more emotionally intelligent, but to ensure their leadership is anchored in purpose, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
