JICO offers a combination of life and non-life business insurance policies to industrial and commercial enterprises operating in Jordan, as well as private individuals and families. Over the years, the company has further established a strong network of regional and international reinsurers, including SCOR Global France, Allianz Germany, Odyssey Re, XL Catlin and many others. JICO was established in 1975 with a total capital of JOD 160,000, which was increased to JOD 1.5 million in 1982 and JOD 3 million in 1998. Backed by strong financial performance, unmatched local expertise, and broad global network capabilities, JICO has built a strong reputation for insuring large, highly complex businesses with multi-million dollar risks. The company’s robust and innovative portfolio of commercial and personal protection solutions include life and medical, marine, auto, property, casualty, and engineering. In 1999, JICO was amongst the first Jordanian insurers to receive the ISO Certificate (ISO 9002 – 1994). The certificate was upgraded in 2004 and JICO received the new issue (ISO 9001 – 2000).
