October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. It is an important time to spread the message that early detection is key to beating breast cancer. According to World Health Organization, when identified early, cancer is more likely to respond to effective treatment and can result in a greater probability of surviving.
