🚨 We will be making a change to how we run any competitions in the future. 🚨

In recent competitions, we have seen an increase in scams and people cloning Facebook accounts to try to claim a prize or people using AI in place of photos. There are also a number of followers who use accounts only for entering competitions with no interest in what we do (these accounts will be banned from our page). These competitions were only ever meant to be a bit of fun and a way to say thank you for your support. Thank you to those of you who engage in the right spirit.

We are going to take the following actions:

1) All competitions for at least the next 12 months will exclusively benefit either a UK vet practice or a UK animal charity local to the winner. The only exception will be around World Book Day where a book will be sent to the winner.

2) Accounts whose profiles are only used to enter competitions will be disqualified from entry and banned from the page.

3) Anyone using a cloned account will be reported and blocked.

4) AI entries will be disqualified from entry.

What do we charge people in the veterinary sector for our time and expertise?

Nothing, nil, nada, zilch.

How much do you save?

Our normal advice fee is £399.

What's the catch?

There isn't one, it's our way of giving back in a meaningful way. Craig and Rob are both married to vets and we appreciate all of you for what you do.

How do we get paid?

We receive a procuration fee from mortgage lenders and commission from insurance providers.

Does this affect the interest rate you get or the cost of the insurance?

Not at all. In fact we also sometimes get broker exclusive deals with lenders that you can't get by going direct. Furthermore we ensure that your insurance premiums are non-weighted meaning that we don't add a profit margin over and above the true cost of the insurance.

If you're self-employed and looking for a mortgage in the near future, then you should consider filing your taxes for the 2025/26 tax year sooner rather than later as MOST mortgage lenders will deem the 2024/25 ones as out of date.

We still have access to lenders who will consider an application without the 25/26 tax return BUT you will be limiting your choices if the latest year is not available.

While we spend our days sorting out mortgages and protection at V Finances, Indy spends hers reminding us what makes a house a home.

Eleven years of the absolute best company, late-night office supervision, and unconditional love. She’s got a bit more grey around the muzzle these days, but she’s still the real boss around here.
