A question we get asked a lot: why not just use the expenses part of the big platform we already have?
Sometimes that is exactly the right answer. Fewer logins is a genuine benefit and we will say so.
But it is worth knowing what you are choosing. On a large platform, expenses usually sits behind supplier invoices for attention, and expenses is the one part of finance software that nearly every person in the building has to use. When it is awkward, people do not complain. They just put it off, and it turns up three weeks later as a spreadsheet.
Not a reason to avoid platforms. A reason to look closely at that particular module before you assume it is covered.
Have you gone all-in on one system, or kept a specialist for the bits everyone touches?
