After a period of falling rates, we’re starting to see some pressure building again.

📈 The Bank of England base rate remains at 3.75%
📊 Inflation is currently 2.9%
🏦 Average mortgage rates are around 5.59% for a 2-year fix and 5.63% for a 5-year fix

Mortgage rates haven’t suddenly shot up, but rising borrowing costs in the financial markets mean some lenders could start repricing their deals upwards.

The important thing? Don’t panic, but don’t assume rates will automatically keep falling either.
