Higher rate taxpayers often assume all pension tax relief is added automatically.
In some workplace pension schemes, such as those operating on a relief at source basis, additional tax relief may need to be claimed separately.
In this video, I explain how the process works and walk through an illustrative example based on an individual earning £80,000 and contributing £500 per month to their pension.
