It's great to see Staffy outside our branch today, looking right at home in the glorious sunshine in Market Square.

Staffy is part of Staffordshire County Council's new Staffy trail, a public art and heritage project celebrating the character of our county. The trail brings together local artists, schools, businesses and community spaces, with colourful 'Staffy' sculptures helping people discover Staffordshire's stories, landmarks and local pride.

We're delighted to have him nearby, adding a bit of colour, cheer and county spirit to Market Square.

Over the Easter weekend, we will be closed on Friday 3rd April and Monday 6th April.

Our branch will still be open as usual on Saturday 4th April from 9am to 12 midday.

We’re pleased to continue our support for the World Land Trust.

This year we donated £928.72 to the charity’s Action Fund, which helps protect land and wildlife, thanks to our Members.

We have supported World Land Trust since 2000, and we’re proud to keep backing its work.

Pancake Race 2026, what a day!

Two old hands. Two newbies. One dream team.

Josh, Ben, Jess and Lewis gave it everything. While we didn’t secure a third consecutive win this year, being double winners in 2024 and 2025 proves we know how to deliver.

Congratulations to this year’s winners. Enjoy it while it lasts.

And to long term rivals, Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and Historic Stafford… we may not have taken the trophy/frying pan home, but neither did you guys! But hey, there’s always next year.

Thank you to Freedom Leisure and Vibe 1 for hosting such a brilliant community event, and to The Staffordshire Spotter for capturing the action and a few great shots of our team. The turnout was fantastic.

After 145 years serving Stafford, the Pancake Race is one of the highlights of our year.

We’ll be in 2027. Training has already started.

Supporting Community Through Sport – Together with Stafford RUFC

At The Stafford Building Society, we believe that strong communities grow through connection. Few things bring people together like local sport.

This year, thanks to our Members who save through the Black and Amber Affinity Account, we’ve donated £238.08 to Stafford Rugby Union Football Club.

This support helps the club provide opportunities for players of all ages, from the First XV to junior teams. It gives young people in Stafford a place to play, grow in confidence and be part of something bigger.

When you save in the Black and Amber Affinity Account, 0.2% of the total balance is donated to Stafford RUFC each year. There’s no extra cost. Just everyday saving that gives back to the community.

Stafford RUFC has been part of local life for 150 years. We, along with our Members, are proud to continue our support for a club that plays such an important role in the local community.
