What a fantastic few days at Hickstead for the Al Shira’aa British Young Horse Championships 🏆

It was a real pleasure for SEIB to sponsor the British Six-Year-Old Championship and support some of the most exciting young talent coming through British Showjumping.

A huge congratulations to William Rekert, who took home the win and the prestigious Big Star Trophy. What a result! 👏

It was also brilliant to meet so many riders, owners and supporters who stopped by the SEIB stand throughout the show. We loved hearing about your horses, chatting all things insurance and, of course, watching some seriously talented young horses do what they do best. Proud to be supporting the next generation of the sport! 💙

Corinio Z Continues Winning Reign for William Rekert

At last year’s Al Shira’aa British Young Horse Championships William Rekert and Corinio Z won the Al Shira’aa British 5 Year Old Championship title - and this year the pair continued their reign of dominance with a win in the SEIB Insurance Brokers 6 Year Old Championship for the Big Star Trophy.

“We’ve had him for about a year and a half now, after he was sent to me by good friends of mine – we really liked him, so we kept him, and he’s not stopped winning since,” said William. “He’s a really super little horse, always trying and really careful.”
