In simple terms, PMI helps employees access private healthcare support when they need it. This could include things like consultations, diagnostic tests, specialist treatment, mental health support or cancer care, depending on the policy.

It is not usually designed for everyday GP appointments, emergencies or every pre-existing condition, which is why understanding the details really matters.
