The Bank of England has today announced that the Base Rate will remain at 3.75%.

Good news for those in a variable rate … for now ! 🚨

This means the Base Rate has now remained at 3.75% for nine consecutive months, following the reduction made in December 2025.

🏠 What does this mean for mortgages?

While the Base Rate can influence mortgage rates, lenders also consider a range of other factors when pricing their mortgage products. So, a Base Rate hold doesn't necessarily mean mortgage rates will stay exactly the same.
