Does anyone else think that September 1st almost feels like another new year?
Summer has ended and although Q4 doesn’t start until next month it very much feels now like it’s all systems go until the end of the year! So this is what we’re cracking on with at the moment:
- 7 x live projects for clients ranging from blocks of flats to a hotel to a commercial gym to supported living HMOs 👷🏽
- 2 x projects in legals for ourselves 🏬
- our 16 bed hotel until due to open soon & currently at plastering & painting stage 🎨

As we look towards the end of the year we have capacity to:
- take on more PM clients - DM us if we can help 💬
- purchase more deals - Calder Valley only - if you have info on an empty property, commercial building or anything funky is coming to market let us know 📞
- work with more angel funders 💴 all of our current deals are fully funded so we’re looking to work with more of you fantastic angels to fund our pipeline deals and bring you great returns on your capital 📈
- take on more coaching clients 🎯 we offer 1-1 mentorship for those who are looking to get started in property - DM for me info 💬
- any ways in which we can help the community and give back to those who have helped us ❤️

We’ve taken the last week of August off work to spend some time at home with the girls 💗

We’ve been to the zoo, out for dinner, lots of park visits, Disney films & parties 🎈

When you work for yourself it can be surprisingly hard to “justify” holidays or any take time off - but there really is nothing better than being in charge of how you spend your time 🤟🏽

Back to work tomorrow 🫡

Someone asked me why we chose the name we did for the hotel & the short answer is, we didn’t. The building has a name.

On site shortly after purchasing, Michelle Gaffaney-Webb | Property Investor & Architecture asked what we should call our new hotel, we all looked up at the building & saw the inscription and immediately decided, yup that’s it. The Civic Hall | Wayth Hotels was born.

She’s worn many hats over the years, built in the 1890s for the Liberal Party then bought by Hebden Royd council in 1956 where she debuted her new title, The Civic Hall.
The council couldn’t afford to maintain the building so in the 70s they sold it and it became Hebden Bridge Sports and social club. In the 80s the Greenwood inn Hotel & pub debuted and this was the first time it was used as a hotel/letting rooms. In the early naughties the building transitioned again to B@r Place before its final persona before us, The Crown Inn.
