How was your weekend ? Do anything nice ? As a parent we love that questions don't we 😅I shipped my little girl around Manchester at a cheer and dance comp...all weekend, and Im now at my desk feeling tired, and coming down off the junk food we lived on while we were there. Why do these places not allow food to be brought in then only serve chips and fried food !!! theres always conveniently a McDonalds nearby too !! This morning I'm back to mortgages and Insuracnes...in silence ahhhh bliss 😉 (my ears are still ringing ☺️)

Bank of England has decided to hold interest rates at 3.75% again – with an 8–1 vote.

For now, no immediate change – which is positive news if you’re on a variable or tracker rate

However One member actually voted to increase rate to 4%, and the Bank has warned inflation could still rise

The main reason?
Rising energy costs and global uncertainty are still pushing inflation up (currently around 3.3%, above the 2% target).

What should you be doing?
✔️ If your deal is ending soon – don’t sit and wait
✔️ If you’re on a variable – it’s worth reviewing your options
✔️ If you’re buying – this is still a stable window to plan

Following the latest market study into later life lending from the Financial Conduct Authority the one thing really stood out to me…

It’s not just about the products
It’s about lack of awareness and trust

The reality is, many people approaching or in retirement:

Don’t fully understand their options
Don’t know who to turn to
And often feel unsure about what’s right for them
