From beautifully simple to a little bit extra… and then some! 🎂

At Heritage Cupcakes by Lindsey, the cakes I’m asked to create are as varied as the people they’re made for.

Elegant and understated, pretty pastels, bold colours, vintage piping, favourite characters, hobbies or elaborate designs packed with personal details. There’s so much more to a bespoke cake than choosing a colour and adding a name.

Welcome to Storieland, where birthday wishes come with Minnie Mouse ears! 🎀

Pretty pastel shades, beautiful buttercream piping and the cutest bows for Storie’s 2nd birthday! The handmade frames, all made by me, hold sweet edible Minnie Mouse images, adding a little extra magic to this super cute cake. 💕

Ava’s teenage era has officially entered the chat! 🍓🍒🎉

And apparently being 13 looks like Jellycat cuteness, yummy strawberries and cherries, and having excellent taste in cake! 💕

Handmade fondant accents, delicious vanilla buttercream and chocolate sponge underneath all that sweetness. Growing up doesn’t mean giving up the cute stuff… especially when it tastes this good! 🤭🎂

Charlie’s turned 9 and he’s McLovin’ it! 🍟🍔

A number 9 cake inspired by his favourite McDonald’s, with one very important addition… a duck! 🦆😂

Does a duck belong at McDonald’s? Probably not, but it’s Charlie’s birthday and if he wants a McQuack with his order, that’s what he’s getting! 🤣

Three tiers, around 15 blocks of butter and one husband wondering why he hadn’t married someone who makes jewellery… 😂🎂

This weekend’s wedding cake was HUGE! Buttercream rosettes piped around the entire cake, two tiers of vanilla and jam, and a middle tier of chocolate and Nutella. An absolute beauty, but when I say she weighed a tonne, my back would happily confirm it! 🤣

Those 15 blocks of butter were just for the buttercream. I’m expecting a thank-you card from the dairy any day now! 🧈😂

Then came delivery. She was so tall my husband practically had to dismantle his car to fit her in. At one point, borrowing an open-top car was looking like a genuine option. Never mind the bride arriving in style, this cake nearly needed her own convertible! 🚗🤣

Thankfully, we managed to get her safely to the venue, along with 100 rose-piped cupcakes in red and ivory to match the beautiful wedding theme. Because apparently, I looked at that enormous cake and thought, “Do you know what this needs? More cake!” 😂🧁

All joking aside, it was such a pleasure to create this for the happy couple. Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding cake and allowing Heritage Cupcakes to be part of your special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together. ❤️🥂

My arms may recover in time for your first anniversary! 😂
