Your first busy summer in this industry is something nobody really prepares you for.

You finish a course feeling capable. You've practised, you've passed, you've got the certificate. Then June arrives, the diary fills, every client has a wedding or a holiday or a milestone, and the job quietly stops being about the treatment and starts being about everything around it.

The consultations. The pacing. The expectations. The clients who arrive with screenshots. The moments where something doesn't feel quite right and you have to decide how to handle it.

It's a lot. And most newly qualified practitioners go through it with very little honest conversation about what it actually feels like.

So here's the honest version. The practitioners who go on to build proper careers in this industry usually aren't the ones who rushed to prove themselves in their first summer. They're the ones who slowed down a little, asked questions, set boundaries early, and gave themselves room to actually learn on the job.

Not every complication means somebody has done something wrong.

In aesthetics, there’s an important difference between a recognised treatment risk and malpractice and understanding that difference helps clients make safer, more informed decisions before treatment.
