Stephen West fished the Final on his own, due to Partner Welles not being available. He certainly gave his all and was even sitting in 3rd place for a while. Unfortunately he picked up a slightly smaller stamp on fish during the session. However nonetheless, a brilliant display of angling and some crackers caught during the weekend, including a 31lb+ Mirror!

🏆 BERNERS CARP CUP - 3RD PLACE 🏆

Last years Winners, Mitchell & Aaron managed to secure 3rd Place over the weekend after landing 4 fish, for a total of 112lb 9oz!

The lads managed to land 3 20's and finished it off with 'Ernie' @ 42lb 6oz, which certainly gave them the boost they needed to secure 3rd!

A great display of angling over the weekend from both lads and an absolute corker to finish things off on the last morning!🤩🎣

🏆 BERNERS CARP CUP - 2ND PLACE 🏆

After qualifying earlier on in the year, with his partner Tony Reynolds. Billy had to fish the Final on his own due to Tony having Carp Team England commitments.

Nonetheless, Billy fished excellently and managed to string together 5 fish, all over 21lb including 3 over 28lb

This resulted in a 2nd Place finish on 132lb 13oz and taking away the trophies and £3000!💪

Here are your New Berners Car Cup Champions 2026, Jack Stone & Mark Richardson!

Both lads displayed an outstanding effort this weekend and managed to not only win by a very strong lead, but also breaking the Berners Carp Cup Record in the process! Finishing on 10 fish for a combined weight of 305lb 4oz!

Their haul included 5 30's, including 3 of those over 37lb!🤯

🚨 THE RES - AVAILABILITY THIS WEEK! 🚨

We have been inundated with customers asking if there were any individual slots, where they could get on The Res, without being part of a Lake Exclusive...

We have some very last minute dates this week which have now been opened to individual bookings (Tuesday 8th - Friday 11th September). All sessions are 10am-10am.

This will likely be the only chance until a few potential dates over the winter period. So if you're looking to get out this week and hopefully bag a few, this is your chance!

The lake has been fishing well over the past couple of weeks, with plenty of 30's and 40's out!

We will be carrying out a swim draw on each of the days if busy, to ensure the process is fair to everyone (full details to follow after your booking is confirmed).

🏆 NEW BERNERS CARP CUP CHAMPIONS 🏆

That is a wrap for this year’s Berners Carp Cup, another great series of qualifiers and a great final to finish things off!

There have been some great displays of angling throughout the event and throughout this weekends final!

A massive congratulations goes to to our podium finishes this year! 🥳

1st - Jack Stone & Mark Richardson
2nd - Billy Flowers & Tony Reynolds
3rd - Mitchell Williams & Aaron Cameron

A special mention goes out to our New Berners Carp Cup Champions Jack & Mark. They displayed outstanding angling throughout the weekend, and setting a new Berners Carp Cup record in the process!

10 Fish Landed, which included 5x 30’s, 3 of those going over 37lb, so an amazing average stamp of fish too!💪

We just want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you that entered and support the event this year, and we hope to see you in 2027!

For now, it’s time to sit back and reflect on what a competition we had this year and finalise the planning for the next one! 📅

🏆 FINAL - SUNDAY 8AM UPDATE 🏆

Another 10 fish out since the last update has shaken the board up a little!

Mitchell & Aaron in Peg 1 have now taken 3rd place, after landing a cracking 42+ Mirror, back up by a 20+ common! (Pictures to follow).

We have another new pair on the board and everyone eager for just another couple of bites before the final horn in an hour! ⏰

Another 6 fish have been added to the board since the last update and a few more changes now too!

It’s starting to get exciting and it’s still tight and only a fish or 2 in it for 2nd and 3rd place, going into the final night! 👀

We are also edging VERY close to a new Berners Carp Cup Record weight by a single pair! 👀 👀

🏆 FINAL - SATURDAY 3PM UPDATE 🏆

Another little change up this afternoon as the fish have starting moving up the lake. Tyre bank done a flurry of bites and it’s certainly changed the board around a little.

Billy in Peg 13 managed a quickly flurry of bites, with both being 29lb+, which lifts this right into 2nd place.

Nick, next door to him also managed a lovely upper 20 mirror to get him off the mark and onto the board!

Stephen in Peg 11 also added another to his tally and puts him in 4th currently!

Let’s hope for plenty more action!💪

After quite an eventful night and early hours this morning, it seemed to go a little quieter for the remainder of the morning.

However we have 2 new pairs on the board, and another fish for Jack & Mark.

There’s still plenty of time left to go and plenty can change! 👀
