A huge congratulations to Rhian Young, winner of our Agria Dog Walk grand prize! 🏆

Throughout May, Rhian showed incredible dedication by taking on a challenge every single week - and she certainly saved one of her most impressive efforts for last. Her brilliant dog-shaped walking route, created on Strava, completely wowed us!

Well done, Rhian, and thank you (and your dogs!) for throwing yourself into the Agria Dog Walk challenge with such enthusiasm - we hope you and your pups enjoy your prize!

Do you own, ride, or simply love horses? 🐴

Laminitis is one of the most common and painful conditions affecting horses, but there’s a lot owners can do to help reduce the risk. Factors like overfeeding and too little exercise can play a role, making prevention and early awareness so important.

In episode 2 of our podcast, Telling Tails, host Anki Yngve is joined by Professor Johan Bröjer from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences to discuss the latest knowledge on laminitis, common risk factors, and practical steps horse owners can take to help protect their horses.

Taking your dog to DogFest at The Great British Farm-Fest this weekend?

It’s set to be a warm one, so there's plenty in place to help keep them cool and comfortable.

You’ll find extra shade, cooling stations, lots of water, and friendly advice across the site.

Here are a few simple ways to help your dog enjoy the day:
🌳 Stick to the shade – there are plenty of shady spots around the site to take a breather
🐕 Take it steady – there’s lots to explore, so let them enjoy it at their own pace
💧 Keep water topped up – water is available across the site, and it’s handy to bring some for the journey too
💦 Help them stay cool – a damp towel can be a quick and easy way to cool them down
🚗 Make the journey home comfortable – let the car cool before setting off, and keep it well ventilated
🤗 Be mindful of older dogs, flat-faced breeds, and those with health conditions that may need a little extra care in the heat

If you think your dog would be happier at home, there’s still plenty to enjoy at Farm-Fest without them.
