Looking back at the 𝗙𝗘𝗕𝗜𝗦 event, “𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,” held at the European Parliament in June, Dirk Findeisen, Managing Partner at msg Rethink Compliance, highlighted the need to rethink how trusted business information is used across Europe.

Dirk explained that businesses repeatedly provide the same registration, ownership and financial information to banks, insurers, suppliers and regulators, while each organisation is required to verify the same data independently. This duplication creates unnecessary compliance burdens and reduces efficiency without improving trust.

📌 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿: Europe already has transparency. The challenge is to connect trusted information and market participants more effectively. Greater interoperability can reduce duplication, simplify compliance and strengthen the fight against fraud and financial crime by making it harder for criminal networks to exploit disconnected systems.
