A recent site tour of Thunder Bay Art Gallery's new home on Lake Superior offered an exciting glimpse into what's ahead for the community. The new facility will incorporate barrier-free entrances and prioritize accessibility needs, made possible through a $200,000 RBC Foundation Community Spaces grant. In 2026, 41 organizations across Canada received $12.5 million in RBC Foundation Community Spaces Grants to help enhance accessibility and improve energy efficiency and climate-resilience in communities across the country.

Bariatric patients in rural Manitoba now have greater access to the specialized care they need, thanks to new equipment and upgrades at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre. The RBC Foundation donated $10,000 to the Dauphin Hospital Foundation to fund specialized wheelchairs and accessibility improvements as part of Prairie Mountain Health's broader bariatric care initiative.
