"Halt and go" is the first trade every low-float course teaches: a stock gets paused limit-up, you buy the reopen. We tested it on every volatility pause in the official halt record since January 2024 - 21,971 pauses in 2,239 common stocks. Buying one bar after a limit-up reopen returned -1.63% in fifteen minutes (t = -8.1) with a 38% win rate, and -4.97% after the quoted spread. The continuation is real, but it sits inside the reopening print: +3.22% above the last price before the pause, set in an auction that only existing holders get paid on. If you are long into a limit-up pause, the reopen is the exit, not the entry.
